By completing an application you will speed up the adoption process. We do our best to pre-screen applicants before they come to Open House at Doberhof. We therefore ask that you let us know if you are planning to come out next Sunday, so we can jump on your application and do as much as possible ahead of time.

Your answers on this application will help us to make the best possible adoption match between you and a Doberman in our care.  The more we know, the more confident we can be that your adoption will be successful.
It is very important that this application be completed fully and truthfully.  While we regularly make allowances for a wide range of conditions, we do not adopt Dobermans to people who are untruthful.  We need to be able to trust the people who adopt our dogs.  We apologize if this seems a little threatening, but we are trying to take good care of our dogs.

The answers you submit on your application will be discussed by members of Doberman Rescue of North Texas, Inc., and with people outside our organization.  We sometimes share applications with other rescues, especially when the applicant is outside our area.

When we ask for references, lease provide the names and telephone numbers for a minimum of three references, maximum of five. Do not use your veterinarian, a relative, or a person that lives with you. Please use at least one neighbor, at least one co-worker, and if you have school-age children, at least one of your children's teachers. Please contact your references and inform them that they may receive a telephone call from Doberman Rescue before your adoption is finalized and approved. Tell them that they have your permission to speak with us about you.

In case you missed it, in order to fund the substantial veterinary care we provide for our dogs we ask for a donation with every adoption. For purebred adults with natural ears the adoption donation is $175.00, and for adults with cropped ears it is $300.00. Puppies, when we have them, are $350.00. Mixes are $125.00.
